Cardboard footballs

14 Jan 2010

Korean design firm, Unplug Design, has put created an easy and inexpensive way to transport footballs to disaster ridden areas of the world. They call it the Dream Ball. The idea is simple, patterns are printed or perforated onto the cardboard boxes that relief aid is transported in. Once the contents are unpacked the balls can be constructed, distributed and used. While they surely won’t last as long as a typical football, they will certainly be cheaper to transport and will be more numerous.
