The language of Lego

Lego pieces come in all different shapes and sizes, and so do the names for each of those pieces. They change from kid-to-kid, house-to-house, generation-to-generation. What exactly they’re called is where it gets interesting.

“Can you see any clippy bits?” my son asked his friend. The friend was flummoxed. “Do you mean handy bits?” he asked, pointing.

“Yes,” replied my boy. “Clippy bits.”
